The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

Genre
Mystery/Thriller

Synopsis
Rachel rides the same train line every single day.  She watches the houses she passes, remembering an old life. When a woman she has been watching goes missing, her face appearing on magazines and newspapers around town, Rachel feels compelled to get involved.  Can something she saw be a clue?  If she involves herself, will it lead to danger for her?

Why Should You Read It?
This one is great for those of us out there who like to try and unravel the mysteries in books.  There are many questions for you to try and answer and each of those questions leads down a windy path full of more questions.  It's fascinating to watch it all unravel at the end.

What Can You Learn From the Author's Writing?
Hawkins has done a great job taking a character you may otherwise not like (she's very flawed) and making her relatable.  It's an excellent lesson in characterization.

Overall Rating
4 smiles and a wink.  I loved this one!
